When I got the opportunity to pick some glasses from GlassesUSA.com, Emileigh suggested I get some nice ones to go with my uniform.  Being nicer than the glasses I usually buy, I thought that would be a good call.  Looking extra professional while in uniform is always a win.

There are some regulations for glasses that can be worn while in uniform, though, so they had to meet that.  Air Force regulations state:

6.3.2.1. Eyeglasses and sunglasses may have conservative ornamentation on nonprescription sunglasses or eyeglasses, frames may be black or brown material or gold or silver wire. Brand name glasses may be worn with small logo on frames or lenses. Logo must be same color as frames or lenses. Conservative wrap-around sunglasses may be worn. Conservative, clear, slightly tinted or photosensitive lenses are authorized. Faddish styles and mirrored lenses are prohibited.

These Revel Blythe sunglasses work because they have black frames and black tinted lenses.  I also like the classic rectangle shape.

I’ve worn these glasses a lot since getting them about a month ago, and they’ve held up really well.  They also get sent with a cleaning cloth and hardy glasses case to keep them in, so that helps keep them from getting scratched and stuff.

The website can also put prescription lenses in the frames, so if you need those you’ve got options.
